K Kavitha meets Rajnath Singh over division of officers in Telangana and Andhra

New Delhi, Oct 27 (ANI): TRS leader K Kavitha on Monday met Home Minister Rajnath Singh over division of officers’ cadre in the newly divided states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. She said that the division of IPS, IAS and other officers should happen in such a manner that the officers belonging to Telangana work for Telangana and those of Andhra Pradesh work for their state. She also said that this has been a long pending demand since the formation of Telangana and added that due to this obstacle both states are not being able to develop. Oct 27, 2014

New Delhi, Oct 27 (ANI): Chief of Indian Army, General Dalbir Singh Suhag, and senior serving officers laid wreaths at the Amar Jawan Jyoti on Monday (October 27) in New Delhi on the occasion of Infantry Day. Infantry Day, which is observed on October 27 every year, marks the landing of the first paramilitary battalion at Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir to guard the valley from the attack and invasion of the Pakistan army. Home Minister Rajnath Singh salutes brave ITBP personnel on their 53rd Raising Day

Surajpur, Oct 24 (ANI): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday saluted the brave ITBP personnel on their 53rd Raising Day. The ITBP was raised on October 24, 1962. Presently, the ITBP is deployed on border guarding duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3,488 km of Indo-China border and manning Border Outposts on altitudes raging from 9000' to 18700' in the Western, Middle and Eastern Sector of the Indo-China border. The ITBP is a specialized mountain force and most of the officers are professionally trained mountaineers and skiers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Siachen to greet soldiers on Diwali

Modi further extended his Diwali greetings to the whole nation from the icy heights of Siachen Glacier.
