Aero show to boost PM Modi's 'Make in India' initiative

Bengaluru, Feb 17 (ANI): The tenth international edition of Aero India, the biennial air show and exhibition, is set to kick-start in Bengaluru. The event is being organized by Defence Exhibition Organisation under the aegis of Ministry of Defence and 54 ministerial and other high-level delegations from several countries are scheduled to attend it. The exhibition will have 'Make in India' as its major theme and will be inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Aero India, which began in 1996, has become a major platform for armament giants to initiate defence deals. The event will see the participation of leading countries including U.S, Russia, France and U.K from where the aircrafts and fighter planes have started arriving at Air Force Station (AFS) Yelahanka. Aurangabad, Feb 16 (ANI): Maulana Abul Kalam Azad alias Maulana Azad played a significant role during India's struggle for freedom from British colonial rule. Besides being a freedom fighter, his message of brotherhood and amity through his literary work is still being prevailed today. A theatre group in Aurangabad city of Maharashtra is one such example which seeks to convey the message of former freedom fighter through their plays. What fascinates the most about this theatre group is that it includes artists belonging to Hindu community, who perform in Urdu language, as Azad was Muslim by religion and his work are Urdu based. Through the play artists of the group convey the message of Azad, which he aimed at spreading while living. The theatre presentation by this group makes us believe that people like Maulana Azad devoted his entire life in strengthening the spirit of communal harmony, which has been our tradition from centuries. Legal professionals strengthened freedom movement of India: PM Modi

Mumbai, Feb 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the legal professionals strengthened country's freedom movement, while addressing concluding Sesquicentennial Function of the Advocates Association of Western India (AAWI) in Mumbai city. Having a legacy of 150 years, said Modi, was of paramount importance and that people associated with AAWI could take pride in the fact that it produced lawyers like father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi and freedom fighter Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Modi also inaugurated a Permanent Judicial Museum at Bombay High Court set up as part of sesquicentennial celebrations. He also emphasised upon the need to strengthen people's faith in the institution of judiciary. Taking pride in his government doing away with 1700 existing laws, he said drafts for new laws should be available online to bar association. The country, added Modi, needs forensic science universities to produce efficient lawyers to fight against ever increasing cyber crime. Feb 15, 2015
