Berlin, July 15 (ANI): Germany_s victorious national soccer team arrived home on Tuesday, two days after winning the FIFA World Cup title in Brazil. A plane carrying coach Joachim Loew and his squad touched down at Berlin_s Tegel airport where it was received by fire engines spraying the Boeing 747 with water as a welcome home gesture. Captain Philipp Lahm, carrying the trophy, was the first to leave the plane, followed by Bastian Schweinsteiger who was wrapped in a large German flag. National carrier Lufthansa temporarily changed its name to Fanhansa in honour of the world champions and added the words _winner_s plane_ (_Siegerflieger_) to its logo, complete with the picture of a soccer ball. PM Narendra Modi meets Chinese President ahead of BRICS summit

More Indian nurses stranded in Iraq arrive home

Kochi, July 13 (ANI): Another batch of 29 Indian nurses, who were caught up fighting in Iraq, arrived home in Kochi city of Kerala and were welcomed by their family members at the airport. The nurses were working in four different hospitals in and around places of Diyala. The nurses had been worried as the hospital authorities were not returning their passports but they got it later after government's intervention. New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): Indian workers caught up in fighting in Iraq arrived home on Friday and were greeted at the airport in New Delhi, as many others are still being held captive by the suspected militants. 116 workers freed from Iraq arrive in India

New Delhi, July 07 (ANI): 116 Indian workers who were till now caught up in the war torn Iraq arrived home on Monday, while many others are still being held captive by the suspected militants. Indian workers were greeted with garlands and were offered water and juices at the airport in New Delhi. Chief coordinator of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara management committee, international affairs, Puneet Singh Chadha, said adequate arrangements were being made to send the workers back to their hometowns.
