Dialogue held in the Capital to explore opportunities for youth from North and Northeast region

New Delhi, Oct 06 (ANI): In a bid to include the youth in the policy making process with focus on exchanging opportunities between North and Northeast India, an interactive policy making competition and discussion programme was recently held at the Indian Habitat Center in New Delhi. Titled as "YOUth Decide: Exchanging opportunities in North India and North East India: Education-Employment-Entertainment', the youth dialogue programme was organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce with support from the Home Ministry, University express ,and several northeast organizations. The event witnessed the participation of northeast and north Indian students from colleges and youth organizations from different parts of the National Capital Region (NCR). Two Maoists surrender in Chhattisgarh

Bijapur, Oct 4 (ANI): Two Maoists surrendered in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh due to discriminatory policies by the Naxal organization. The two rebels surrendered after they got to know about the rehabilitation programme for the Maoists and they were also awarded with rupees 10,000 each. The two Maoists have been identified as Yalam Samaiya and Dubba Kanhaiya and they were working for 10 years with a Maoist organization. Maoists, also known as Naxals, have killed police and politicians, and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since 1960s. Oct 4, 2014

PM Narendra Modi to deliver first radio speech via AIR on Friday

New Delhi, Oct 02 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to connect to masses through radio on Friday. The prime minister is to deliver his first radio address to be broadcasted on the state-owned All India Radio. The initiative would help Modi connect directly with millions across the country who have no access to TV. The programme titled 'Man ki Baat' will be aired at 11:00 am, and is likely to dominate the entire broadcasting space. The public service broadcasters are planning to provide the audio feed and visuals free of cost to all private radio channels as well as news and current affairs channels.
