India awaits response from US over diplomatic spat

New Delhi, Jan 1 (ANI): The Ministry of External Affairs has stated that response from the US over dropping of criminal charges against Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragde was awaited but owing to the holiday season, things were delayed. MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said that the diplomatic channels in the United States as well as in India were trying to secure full diplomatic immunity for Khobragade by shifting her to its UN mission in New York, although such a move needs the US State Department approval. Finance Ministry warns of strict action against service tax evaders from New Year

New Delhi, Dec 30 (ANI): The Finance Ministry has invited service tax from all citizens who haven't paid their dues since 2007, and has warned stern action will be taken against tax evaders after the payment scheme finishes on January 01, 2014. Advertising it as the final call to 'come clean', the Customs and Federal Excise department started a 'Voluntary Compliance Encouragement Scheme' (VCES) for service tax defaulters. While addressing a news conference on Monday (December 30), Revenue Secretary, Sumit Bose, said after the last due date of the scheme on December 31, service tax evaders would be subject to arrest and prosecution. Molla was hanged on December 12, in the first war crimes execution in Bangladesh. He was accused of collaborating with Pakistani forces, who were eventually defeated with India's help. The researchers said that this figure adds up to an incredible 627 hours and 28 minutes - almost an entire month in a year. The study of 2,000 women was conducted by Invista, owner of Lycra fabrics; they found that concerns include fear of being too fat or too thin, too bloated, having spotty skin, pale skin or frizzy hair.
