Sunanda would not have let her marriage break if she was alive, says Nalini Singh after SIT interrog

New Delhi, Jan 23 (ANI): Senior Journalist Nalini Singh was interrogated on Friday by the Special Investigating Team (SIT) of Delhi Police which is the sensational Sunanda Pushkar murder case. After the interrogation, Singh confirmed that she was questioned by the police. Divulging in details about her conversation with Sunanda, Singh said that deceased wife of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor had suspected Tharoor of having an affair with Pakistani Journalist Mehr Tarar. While talking on the IPL controversy, she said Sunanda had told her that she has taken all the blame on herself. Singh further stated that Sunanda would not have let her marriage break had she been alive. Sunanda was found dead in the five-star Leela Hotel in Delhi on January 17, 2014. Jan 23, 2015

Sunanda Murder Case: Journalists in her contact will be questioned, Tharoor may be called again, say

New Delhi, Jan 22 (ANI): Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said on Thursday that the journalists who contacted Sunanda Pushkar a day before her death will be questioned to gather information in the case. Bassi said that all possible suspects and witnesses will be questioned to reach the roots of the case. He added that Shashi Tharoor may be questioned again if the SIT feels so. New Delhi, Jan 20 (ANI): Politicos on Tuesday react as Delhi Police drilled Shashi Tharoor for almost four hours in Sunanda Pushkar murder case. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that Pushkar should have been questioned way before as he is the main witness in the case. He said that the UPA government had already delayed the probe in the case and now it should pick up speed. Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that BJP should stop speculating in criminal proceedings and that investigation is on. New Delhi, Jan 20 (ANI): Delhi Police interrogated Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor for almost four hours in connection with Sunanda Pushkar murder case, said Police Commissioner BS Bassi. He said that Tharoor totally cooperated during the interrogation and that further course of action will be taken after detailed report of the questions asked. Tharoor was interrogated at the Vasant Vihar police station in South Delhi last evening. Dhaka, Jan 20 (ANI): Bangladesh journalists and political activists hit out at former Prime Minister and leader of the opposition, Begum Khaleda Zia for her association with an Islamist party that is accused of war crimes. Zia had allied with Jamaat-e-Islami and formed the government with it. The tribunal has convicted 16 people, most of them Jamaat leaders, and sentenced 14 of them to death. One Islamist politician was executed in December 2013. An Islamist party leader was sentenced to death in December 2014 after war crime tribunal convicted him of atrocities. ATM Azharul Islam, 62, assistant secretary general of the Jamaat-e-Islami party, was found guilty of five out of six charges including the murder of hundreds of minority Hindus, rape, abduction and torture, prosecutors said.
