Kathmandu, July 26 (ANI): Foreign minister Sushma Swaraj, who is in Nepal for a three-day visit said the neighbouring country was top priority for the government. Swaraj will co-chair third meeting of the Nepal-India Joint Commission, which is taking place after 23 years. The commission is expected to review the entire range of bilateral relations. During her visit, she will also meet her Nepalese counterpart Mahendra Bahadur Pandey. Swaraj hoped her visit would boost India-Nepal ties. The meeting will hold discussions in five different clusters -political, security and border issues; economic co-operation and infrastructure; trade and transit; power and water resources. With the decline in insurgency, the things are no longer the same. The road infrastructure in the village has improved with the implementation of various government-run schemes like MGNREGA and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Many of the tribal people who were earlier into Jhum cultivation have become settled farmers under the Tribal Jhumia Rehabilitation Scheme and Integrated Tribal Development Project. New Delhi, July 24 (ANI): The World Bank welcomed a $100 billion development bank founded by the BRICS nations and is ready to provide it with technical assistance, the World Bank president said after a meeting with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. The BRICS developing nations - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - announced the bank last week, saying it would fund infrastructure projects in developing nations - a reflection of their growing importance in the world economy. The World Bank group was ready to increase its financial support to support job-oriented skills and infrastructure development in India to $15 billion to $18 billion over the next three years, Jim Yong Kim, World Bank Group President who looked inspired by Modi's economic agenda and policies, said that Modi has set-up some goals for the bank and they would make all efforts to achieve those.
