Bangalore, Oct 31 (ANI): The Karnataka Janata Paksha (KJP) party protested on Thursday to exert pressure on the Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to extend the flagship programme 'Shaadi Bhagya scheme' launched for poor Muslim brides, to all poor brides, irrespective of their religion or caste. Reacting to this BJP leader Kirti Azad said that everyone who need help should get privilege when it comes to financial and social help and vote bank politics should not be done with it. The project launched by the Department of Minority Welfare will give the bride a voice and set aside an initial sum of Rs 10 crore with the aim of supporting atleast 2,000 marriages by the end of this financial year.
