Thousands of school children take part in Terry Fox Fundraiser in Mumbai to fight cancer

Mumbai, Feb 01 (ANI): Around 10,000 school children took part in the 17th edition of Terry Fox Run on Sunday in Mumbai, to raise money to fight cancer. The annual charity event is organised in various cities commemorating the Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox, a cancer patient, who ran across Canada to raise money to fund research on cancer. Meanwhile, convenor of Terry Fox (India) Committee, Gul Kripalani appreciated the increased participation of people in the event over the years. The funds collected with these events go to Tata Memorial Hospital's cancer research projects who along with the Terry Fox Foundation in Canada conduct research on cancer. Feb 1, 2015

Kejriwal claims 'opponents trying to buy AAP volunteers'

New Delhi, Jan 29 (ANI): AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal claimed claimed that the opponents are trying to buy their volunteers. Kejriwal had tweeted, "Opponents trying to "buy" our volunteers. He had also declared that a conspiracy was being hatched against his party by a "senior leader" by planting false stories against AAP candidates in the media. The party is so worried that in a day or so it is expected to send a written complaint to the election commission stating its fear. Meanwhile, AAP leader Manish Sisodia said that BJP's CM Candidate Kiran Bedi used to say that nobody should vote for BJP, a party who can't give account of their funds.
