Canada says it can help solve India's housing problems

New Delhi, Oct 16 (ANI): Canada showed interest in taking part in India's ambitious programmes of 'Housing for All' and building 100 'smart cities' and offered its technology in this regard. The offer was made during a meeting between Canadian Trade Minister Ed Fast with Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi. Fast said they had a very intense discussion about the 100 smart cities that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has put forward to develop modern India. Canada foreign minister meets Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): Canada's Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday and met his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj for a discussion on Canada-India relations to strengthen bilateral economic ties between the two countries. Baird also commemorated the International Day of the Girl Child at a school in the national capital. India and Canada were expected to discuss on the bilateral issues at the meeting, including matters related to security, defence, counter-terrorism, space and nuclear cooperation. Baird, who is on a five-day visit to India, is accompanied by Canadian International Trade Minister Ed Fast and National Revenue Minister Kerry-Lynne Findlay among others.
