Sunanda murder probe: SIT questions Tharoor again

New Delhi, Feb 12 (ANI): Congress leader and former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor is presently being questioned for the second time in connection with his wife, Sunanda Pushkar's murder. The interrogation round is underway at the SIT office in south Delhi's Vasant Vihar area. Tharoor's domestic help, Narain Singh, is also likely to be questioned by the SIT today. Last week, Sunanda Pushkar's son, Shiv Menon, was also interrogated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Last month, Tharoor was interrogated at the Vasant Vihar police station in South Delhi. The police had earlier in January said that based on available evidence, Sunanda Pushkar, 51, was poisoned. A case of murder was registered on January 6. Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in the five-star Leela Hotel in Delhi on January 17, 2014. Feb 12, 2015

BS Bassi briefs about summon to Naresh Balyan and Sunanda Murder case

New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi on Wednesday briefed about summon to AAP leader Naresh Balyan in illegal liquor seizure case and about Sunanda Pushkar murder case. Bassi said that Balyan had asked not to summon him till elections so he will now be summoned and enquired. He added that if Balyan still does not turn up legal course of action shall be taken against him. Bassi also gave information regarding probe in Sunanda Pushkar murder case saying that Shashi Tharoor shall be summoned again to get some clarifications in the case. Feb 11, 2015

Shutdown in Kashmir to protest killing of youth

Srinagar, Feb 10 (ANI): Separatists called for shutdown in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday to protest killing of youth during demonstration in the valley. Hurriyat Conference appealed people to observe a complete shutdown. A youth named Farooq Ahmad Bhat was killed when forces allegedly opened fire on a group of stone-pelting protesters in Palhallan area of north Kashmir on Monday. The youths were demanding the mortal remains of Afzal Guru - a Kashmiri --who was hanged in New Delhi jail for attacking parliament on December 13, 2001. Guru, who was held guilty in the case, was given death sentence by a Delhi court on December 18, 2002, after being convicted of conspiracy to attack parliament and waging war against the country and murder.
