New Delhi, Sept 24 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Wednesday cancelled all the coal block allocations which it had earlier declared illegal leaving 4 which entirely belong to the Central government. The court, which examined the allocation of 218 blocks in pre-auction era till 2010, had held that they were done in an illegal manner by an “ad-hoc and casual” approach “without application of mind”. New Delhi, Sep 24 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Wednesday cancelled all the coal block allocations which it had earlier declared illegal leaving 4 which entirely belong to the Central government. The lawyer said that Court has given its final decision regarding coal allocations where it has cancelled all the allocations except four. The court, which examined the allocation of 218 blocks in pre-auction era till 2010, had held that they were done in an illegal manner by an “ad-hoc and casual” approach “without application of mind”. Kashmiris at UN denounce Pakistan's illegal occupation of PoK

Geneva/Muzaffarabad, PoK, September 23, 2014: Speaking at the recently held event at the United Nations in Geneva, observers and activists focused on the deteriorating security situation and attacks on minorities in Pakistan. The event titled 'the Human Rights in South Asia' also raised the issue of human rights violations in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir or PoK and Gilgit Baltistan. Civil society activists, human rights defenders and academicians stressed on Pakistan's move of exploiting the remote region's rich natural resources, apart from curbing the political autonomy. Kashmiri leaders blamed Pakistan for allegedly controlling the region through a proxy government and its secret agencies which have a stranglehold over every aspect of both PoK and Gilgit Baltistan. Police barricade roads as RLD supporters converge for Mahapanchayat

New Delhi, Sep 23 (ANI): Police on Tuesday barricaded several roads in the Lutyens zone and shut down Race Course metro station to prevent protesters from reaching 12 Tughlaq Road bungalow for a mahapanchayat at the venue. The protesters who were supporters of RLD Chief Ajit Singh demanded the Tughlaq Road bungalow to be converted into a memorial of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh. Security has been tightened near the bunglow to avoid any untoward incident. Police had also showcased a notice saying that the gathering was "illegal" and all those trying to participate in the 'Jat Mahapanchayt' will be detained. Later, police detained the protesters.
