New Delhi, Feb 09 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje among other state chief ministers attended the first NITI Aayog meeting headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. Presenting her views at the first meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog, Raje suggested for allowing the states to prepare and implement various development projects as per the regional conditions and providing central funds for such schemes. Raje also suggested for setting-up an empowered-committee under the NITI Aayog for coordination and resolution of issues of various projects initiated by various ministries and state governments. She also suggested to restrict the number of centre-sponsored schemes to 10 and to allow the states for utilisation of rest of the funds for such central schemes. Feb 9, 2015

New Delhi, Feb 08 (ANI): After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other members of the NITI Aayog, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Sunday said that he discussed state issues with the Aayog. He said that he was satisfied with the positive response he got from the members and that he hoped for all the help from the centre for the development of the state. He also said that he asked for the same consideration for Uttarakhand as for the north east. Mumbai hosts fund-raising marathon to spread awareness about cardiac diseases

Mumbai, Feb 8 (ANI): Hundreds of children took part in a fund-raising marathon in Mumbai on Sunday spread awareness about cardiac diseases. ‘Little Hearts Marathon’ is an initiative of ‘Bai Jerabai Wadia Hospital for Children’ in Mumbai to raise funds for poor children unable to meet the exorbitant hospital expenses. The second edition of the three-kilometer marathon drew several known personalities, including the head of youth wing of regional political party, Yuva Sena, Aditya Thackeray, Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade and businessman Ness Wadia. Asian Development Bank president calls on PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi, Feb 06 (ANI): Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Takehiko Nakao met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Nakao was accompanied with a delegation from the ADB as they discussed matters of mutual interest to India and the ADB, with Modi. After the meet, Modi tweeted a picture of the two leaders shaking hands, reading the caption: "A very productive meeting with Mr. Takehiko Nakao, President of the Asian Development Bank. @ADB_HQ". Meanwhile, the ADB tweeted: "In meeting with @narendramodi, @ADB_HQ Pres Nakao lauds #India's brighter growth prospects". Nakao commended India's efforts to improve business environment and accelerate infrastructure investment. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius meets Sushma Swaraj
