Yogi Adityanath remains defiant, says nothing wrong in 'ghar wapsi' and should be allowed

New Delhi, Dec 15 (ANI): Amidst raging controversy over his statement on conversion issue, BJP MP Yogi Adityanath remained defiant and said that there is nothing wrong in 'ghar wapsi' programme and that the same should be allowed. Adityanath claimed that the opposition parties are trying to divide the society and further said that since independence, many states had massive conversion due to allurement and pressure. He said that if these people wanted to come back to their original religion, the doors for the same should be open. Lashing out at the opposition for creating ruckus over the conversion issue, the BJP MP said that they had run out of issues and did not want discussion on anything which is why they are doing this. 'Global Tamil Organisation' conducts walkathon to spread awareness on human rights in Chennai

Chennai, Dec 14 (ANI): A civil society group called Global Tamil Organisation conducted a walkathon in Chennai city on Sunday to spread awareness on human rights. Various college students and cadets of government sponsored public service programme, National Service Scheme (NSS), took part in the event holding banners and placards to raise awareness among people about their rights. The event began by paying homage to the distinguished judge and a human rights champion, Justice VR Krishna Iyer who died in November this year. National Secretary of People's Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL), V Suresh told mediapersons that people remember Iyer for his commitment to the constitution, its principles of equality and social justice. New Delhi, Dec 14 (ANI): Former IPS Officer and Social activist Kiran Bedi on Sunday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme on AIR and said that the PM is an educating and transformating leader. She said that the prime minister gave a very important message voicing concern over the 'devastating' drug addiction menace. After the third 'Mann Ki Baat' programme on radio in which Modi urged youths to shun drugs, Bedi urged the youth to use the national helpline and say no to drugs. Bedi said that the sale of drugs needs to be reduced as the money goes in the pockets of terrorists and ultimately becomes crime money.
