BSE closes points 142.01 up on Feb 19

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 142.01 points up to stand at 29,462.27. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 26.20 points up to stand at 8,895.30. JINDAL STEEL and FSL were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 28.59% and 8.04% along with HIND COPPER and ADANI POWER with an increase of 8.00% and 7.98% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include SUZLON and WELCORP with a decrease of 6.72% and 5.79% along with SKF INDIA and AURO PHARMA with a decrease of 4.98% and 4.58% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 6.70 points at 19,855.74 while the banking sector is down 110.30 points at 21,978.47 and the reality sector is up at 17.09 points at 1,748.04. Coal Scam: Special Court grants bail to ex Jharkhand CM Madhu Koda, 7 others

New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): Former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda was granted bail on Wednesday by a Special Court in coal blocks allocation scam case despite opposition from the CBI. Earlier in the morning, the CBI had opposed the bail pleas of Madhu Koda and seven others alleging that they have conspired and abused their position to favor accused firm Vini Iron and Steel Udyog Ltd in allocation of a coal block. Lawyer Anshuman Sinha said that the bail application was moved in the court and the court granted bail to Madhu Koda on the condition that Koda will not leave the country. Feb 18, 2015

New Delhi, Feb 16 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 40.95 points up to stand at 29,135.88. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 3.85 points up to stand at 8,809.35. SUZLON and TATA ELXSI LTD. were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 19.84% and 15.71% along with CEAT LTD. And UNITECH with an increase of 13.30% and 11.08% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include CESC and BALKRISHNA INDUSTRIES LTD. with a decrease of 13.17% and 5.27% along with MRPL and RASOYA PROTEINS LTD. with a decrease of 4.91% and 4.84% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 87.28 points at 19,674.22 while the banking sector is down 204.51 points at 21,982.99 and the reality sector is up at 16.25 points at 1,737.34.
