New Delhi, May 2 (ANI): Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan's remark that Election Commission should not behave like God gave way to mixed reactions by various leaders on Friday. Congress leader Meem Afzal said that Azam Khan is free to say anything within the limits of law not beyond that. Former SP leader Shahid Siddiqui agreed that EC should not behave like God but also highlighted that everyone including Azam Khan should respect the EC. Azam Khan dares EC to cancel his membership, says panel not 'God of Politics'

Rampur, May 01 (ANI): Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan on Thursday dared Election Commission to cancel his membership if it so desires and said that the panel is not 'God of politics'. He said that he don't want the poll panel's pity and that it can cancel his membership and then see with what margin he wins the polls. He also alleged that the EC had been working for previously for Congress and now for BJP's interests. He also said that the panel is not taking action against Narendra Modi who is violating the model code of conduct, but against him who is speaking for the interests of the Muslim community. Pak protests in support of ISI against Hamid Mir

Karachi/ Islamabad, April 28 (ANI): Pakistanis continued to hold demonstrations as hundreds took to streets on Sunday in support of the armed forces, a week after prominent news channel reported that country's powerful spy agency was behind the shooting of one of Pakistan's most famous journalists. Hamid Mir, a veteran talk-show presenter at Geo News, survived the attack after unidentified gunmen shot him multiple times in the port city of Karachi on April 19. Geo television has since repeatedly accused the ISI of being behind the shooting. The military has denied the accusation. More than two hundred people from religious group, Sunni Ittehad Council marched to the office of Geo television and staged a sit-in outside the office blocking the road for several hours. New Delhi/ Lucknow/ Kanpur, April 25 (ANI): The ruling Congress Party's additional manifesto promising OBC quota for Muslims has invited mixed reactions from various political and non-political leaders. Congress leader Meem Afzal clarified it as a promising fact of the party which will be fulfilled. Former SP leader Kamal Farooqui stated that Congress should have done it earlier during its tenure. Rajya Sabha MP Mohd Adeeb stated that he would support Congress if it succeeds in fulfilling this promise. Meanwhile, VHP leader Prakash Sharma attacked the Congress Party for using 'reservation' play card for its personal benefits.
