PM Narendra Modi meets French President Francois Hollande in Brisbane

Brisbane, Nov 15 (ANI): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met French President Francois Hollande for bilateral talks at the G20 Leaders' Summit in Brisbane, Australia. The G20 summit in Brisbane is focused on boosting world growth, fireproofing the global banking system and closing tax loopholes for giant multinationals. Earlier this year, France had proposed to give India a 1 billion euro ($1.4 billion) credit line to fund sustainable infrastructure and urban development projects. The credit line would be available over three years and would be delivered through the French Development Agency, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius had said on his visit to New Delhi in July. Enrollment in Kashmir school affected due to lack of infrastructure

Ganderbal, Nov 13 (ANI): The admission process of students at Nunar High School in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir has suffered a setback due to the lack of basic facilities and bad infrastructure of the school. The school is plagued by various problems and lacks even essential facilities like proper toilets and availability of water. One of the major problems faced by the school is a damaged boundary wall which compromises the security of students and teachers. Students often venture out on the road while playing where the flow of vehicular traffic is quite heavy. A student of the school, Rubeena Jan, said on Thursday the school lacks proper sanitation facilities. However, Chief Education Officer of Ganderbal, Sonaullah Bhat, denied all charges and said the school has provision of all facilities. Nov 13, 2014

AMTEKAUTO and HCC were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 16.91 and 8.50% along with JAIN IRRIGATION SYSTEMS LTD. and POLARIS with an increase of 7.74% and 7.24% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include KAILASH and FSL with a decrease of 9.90% and 4.98% along with SREI INFRASTRUCTURE FINANCE LTD. and BAJAJ ELECTRICALS LTD. with a decrease of 4.68% and 4.35% at the close of the markets. Plane hits stray buffalo during take off in Surat

Surat / New Delhi, Nov 7 (ANI): A SpiceJet plane crashed into a stray buffalo during take-off from Surat although no passengers or crew were hurt. The airline was forced to ground the Boeing 737 which suffered "substantial damages", plane's operator said. SpiceJet said the buffalo, which was killed in the accident on Thursday evening, was "essentially invisible" against a dark background. Passengers on the Delhi-bound aircraft were transferred on to another plane, SpiceJet said. Air Vice-Marshal (Retired), Indian Air Force, Kapil Kak, said a thorough inquiry should be launched and infrastructure of all airports across the country should be reviewed. India to discuss black money issue at G20 Summit

New Delhi, Nov 07 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi to raise the issue of black money besides discussing the energy, security and IMF among others at the G20 Leaders' Summit in Brisbane next week. The G20 Leaders' Summit is scheduled to kick off on November 15-16 in Brisbane, Australia. Sherpa of the prime minister for the G20 summit, Suresh Prabhu told mediapersons in New Delhi about India's agenda during the summit. Prabhu said to deal with the issue of tax evaders and black money it would be interesting to have discussion on automatic exchange of information among the countries. G20 countries have committed to present policy measures at the Brisbane summit that will lift global growth by an additional 2 percent over five years. Prabhu said there should be more transparency in the global energy mix and it should include renewable and clean energy. Prabhu also said India would raise the issue of reforming the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at Brisbane summit. Prabhu added that during the summit India would also talk on infrastructure, employment generation, changing the cost of remittances and environment and climate change.
