Artist in Gujarat expresses love for PM Modi through unique potrait

Vadodara, Feb March 01 (ANI): An artist in Gujarat state has expressed his love for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a very unique manner by preparing a portrait of the leader with bindi. Hariom Gurjar, from Vadodara city, used 38,441 bindi of 11 different shades to create Modi's portrait. The portrait has been nominated for Limca Book of World Records. The artist wishes to gift the artwork to Modi, the next time he visits Vadodara city. He also plans to put it up for auction and donate the funds to a social scheme initiated by the PM. Mar 1, 2015

Kashmiri traders demand compensation for losses incurred during floods

Srinagar, Feb 28 (ANI): Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) staged a protest in Jammu and Kashmir and demanded immediate release of funds as compensation for the losses caused due to floods in September last year. Hundreds of people were killed and thousands of villages were devastated by the worst flooding in decades in the Kashmir valley last year. Due to floods, many shops were damaged and businesses of traders were hampered last year. Protestors carrying placards and shouting slogans, 'We want justice', rallied in Srinagar streets. KTMF President Sadiq Baqal said that they did not receive any relief till date. He further requested the government to listen to their grievances as they have waited far too long for compensation. Suresh Prabhu to present Rail Budget 2015-16 in Parliament

New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will be presenting the Railway Budget for 2015-16 in the Parliament on Thursday. Prabhu may lay the roadmap for attracting private investment in railways in a bid to raise more funds for project completions and infrastructure expansion. This will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government's first railway budget. Modi’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Swachh Bharat’ initiatives may also be given prime importance.
