New Delhi, July 18 (ANI): Political leaders and social activists on Friday condemned the gang rape of a woman in Balsinkheda village across the Mohanlalganj-Memaura road in UP. Leaders demanded strict action against the accused and blamed the state government for such a situation for women. The local police station was informed around 6:00 am, but since they were on duty in the wake of former US president Bill Clinton_s visit to a village 10km away, it took two hours for the first policeman to arrive at the scene of crime where hundreds of villagers had gathered. ATM attacked by unknown miscreants in Bangalore

Bangalore, July 12 (ANI): Despite so much of security in Bangalore, an ATM was attacked by unknown miscreants on Saturday. The ATM which lies under HSR Police Station limit was attacked after the miscreants tried to operate the machine. They later turned all lights off and tried to rob the ATM. The security guard on duty was badly injured after he tried to protest and stop the miscreants. Bangalore ACP Kamal Pant highlighted the entire incident and assured that the guard is out of danger. It Happens: Three- day painting exhibition brings cheer to specially-abled

Siliguri, July 11 (ANI): Anubhab, a voluntary organisation in eastern India organised a three- day painting- cum- sale exhibition to bring cheer to the specially- abled. A specially- abled boy, Pradip Nag, attending the programme, said that he was happy to be there. The organisers will be showcasing more than 30 paintings by an eminent painter, Binit Sinha, from Kolkata who told the reporter that it is the duty of society to look after the specially- abled people. The organisation was started in 1998 and since then it has devoted voluntary service in support of Round Table India, 232.
