New Delhi, Jan 29 (ANI): Reactions poured in on Thursday as reports emerged that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) allegedly re-converted over 100 tribals to Hinduism in West Bengal. Over a dozen adivasi Christian families - some 100 people, including children - reportedly attended the conversion programme. Security tightened at Siri Fort Auditorium as US President Obama all set to address gathering

New Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): Security has been tightened outside Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi as US President Barack Obama is set to end his three day India visit with a speech before a select gathering. Obama is to speak on future of the bilateral ties between America and India. Speaking on "India and America: The future we can build together", Obama will take questions from the audience of at least 2,000 people, including members of the strategic affairs community and students. During the programme, Obama is also expected to meet Noble laureate Kailash Satyarthi. The event is expected to start around 10:45 AM and likely to go on for 45 minutes. Meanwhile, Delhiites will have to face another day of incessant traffic jams, around south Delhi’s Siri Fort auditorium and the Ring Road around South Extension. US President Barack Obama cancels Agra visit, no internal reason for the same: Agra DM

Agra, Jan 24 (ANI): Agra District Magistrate Pankaj Kumar on Saturday confirmed that US President Barack Obama cancelled his visit to Agra. The news of the cancellation of the scheduled visit comes a day before Obama is to visit India as the guest of honour for the 66th republic day celebrations. Obama was to visit Agra with his wife Michelle on January 27. They were to visit the Taj Mahal and spend an hour before leaving for Washington DC. However, Kumar said that the reasons for sudden change in programme are not known and that the reason is definitely not internal. More than 1,000 people participate in walkathon in Vizag

Visakhapatnam, Jan 22 (ANI): More than 1,000 people from all walks of life took part in a walkathon on Thursday morning (January 22) in Visakhapatnam as part of an energy conservation campaign. Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight (OGCF), 2015 is being observed by several public sector oil companies. OGCF is an initiative of Petroleum Conservation and Research Association (PCRA) and oil PSUs to create mass awareness regarding the importance of energy conservation by involving all sections of the society, including school children.
