Bokaro, July 12 (ANI): Jharkhand State Women's Commission Chairperson Mahua Manjhi said that strict action should be taken against those, involved in the rape of a minor girl by her neighbour on the orders of a village chief. The incident took place on July 8 after the village council chief, Bhopal Pasi of Swang Gulgulia Dhoura village in Bokaro district, gave a diktat to the accused to rape the victim. Manjhi visited a hospital in Gomia town and met the alleged rape victim. Meanwhile, Manjhi called for stringent steps to prevent such incidents in future. Jul 12, 2014

Political leaders condemn minor girl rape on Panchayat's diktat

New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): Political leaders on Friday condemned Bokaro minor girl's rape on a Panchayat's order. BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that such things should not happen in any civilized society and demanded action. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that the incident is shameful and matter should be taken under scanner. CPI leader Atul Anjan also condemned the 'personal laws' working in the society. Social activists demand stern action against Panchayat in Bokaro rape case

New Delhi/ Mumbai, July 11 (ANI): Reacting over Bokaro minor rape after a Panchayat's diktat, social activists demanded stern action against Panchayat. NCW Member Shamina Shafiq said that district administration should take steps in such matters. Social Activist Sudha Ramalingam demanded punishments by the law to the Panchayat people. Minor explosion outside Farashkhana Police Station in Pune, 2 injured

Pune, July 10 (ANI): Two persons have been injured in a minor explosion which took place outside a Police Station in Pune on Thursday. The blast occurred at a parking lot near the Farshkhana police station, 500 km away from a famous Ganapati temple. ATS sources said it was a low intensity blast and said the reason for the explosion was yet to be ascertained. A police team and a bomb squad reached the spot, which was cordoned off.
