Sanjay Nirupam begins indefinite hunger strike for Mumbai power tariff reduction

Mumbai, Jan 23 (ANI): Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam on Thursday began an indefinite hunger strike over his demand for a reduction in power tariff in Mumbai. Nirupam demanded the Reliance to remove three surcharges on its bill which are absolutely useless and to loot the people. He said that he will continue his strike till death and challenged the Reliance on its inaction in the direction. Earlier on Monday, the Maharashtra Government announced a 20 percent cut in power tariff for the industrial and agriculture classes of consumers. Jan 23, 2014
