Film maker Ravi Chopra passes away

New Delhi, Nov 12 (ANI): Producer Director Ravi Chopra passed away on Wednesday at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. 68 years old Chopra had been admitted to the Hospital a few days ago. He had been reportedly suffering from a severe lung ailment since the last few years. He is survived by his wife and three children. The veteran filmmaker belonged to an illustrious Bollywood family. His father was director and producer BR Chopra and his uncle was filmmaker Yash Chopra. Ravi Chopra directed movies like The Burning Train, Baaghban and Babul. He also directed hit TV serial Mahabharata, produced by his father. Nov 12, 2014

Actress Poonam Pandey who rose to fame with her seductive photos on social networking site is getting ready to test her luck in Tollywood. Poonam Pandey is debuting in Tollywood with a new film Malini & Co. Poonam Pandey earlier acted in Bollywood film Nasha, which was a disaster & actress has faced severe criticism for her acting skill. Malini & Co, will be made in trilingual versions. Samrat, Milan Rathi, Kavya Singh, Sambha, Ravi Kale are doing the other roles in the movie. Writer-director Veeru K is directing Malini & Co movie, fantasy-romance genre with terrorism for a backdrop. Mahesh rathi is producing the movie under Manisha Films banner. Kishore Rathi is the presenter. The movie has been completed except two songs and they will be shot in Thailand soon. The audio of the movie will be released in December. PM Modi launches Jeevan Praman-Digital Life certificate for pensioners

New Delhi, Nov 10 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched the Jeevan Praman-Digital Life Certificate for pensioners in a move that could eventually benefit over a crore pensioners. Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was also present at the event. Prasad said that digital certification will do away with the requirement of a pensioner having to submit a physical Life Certificate in November each year, in order to ensure continuity of pension being credited into his account. Star Cast at the screening of 'Rang Rasiya'

Mumbai, Nov 7 (ANI): Star cast of Bollywood film 'Rang Rasiya’ attended the movie premiere in India's entertainment capital Mumbai on Thursday. 'Rang Rasiya' has been inspired by the real life story of 19th century painter Raja Ravi Varma, known for portraying women in the image of goddess on canvas. It stars Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda and actress Nandana Sen in lead roles. Talking about her character, Nandana said she expects the audience to watch the film with an open mind as the film portrays eroticism. The film has been directed by acclaimed Indian film director Ketan Mehta who had long struggled to get a green signal from Central Board of Film Certification due to portrayal of bold scenes between the lead pair. Bollywood actresses Tabu and Manisha Koirala were also present for the movie premiere. Meanwhile, the director was thrilled for the movie released after struggling to find a place in theatres for six years. The film has been produced by Deepa Sahi and Aanand Mahendroo. Nov 7, 2014
