Visitors flock Jim Corbett National Park as it reopens post Monsoon

Ramnagar, Oct 15 (ANI): Visitors flocked to see tigers roaming free and wild in the world famous sanctuary at Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand as it reopened on Wednesday after four months of closure because of the monsoon. According to Deputy Director, Corbett Tiger Reserve, Dr Saket Badola, the Bijrani zone has been reopened today while the other zones will reopen on 15th of November. Jim Corbett National Park was established in 1936 to safeguard the endangered tiger. It is primarily a tiger reserve but there are around 600 species of birds and animals - out of which 586 are birds. Corbett has been divided into four safari zones, namely Dhikala Zone, Jhirna Zone, Bijrani Zone and Durga Devi Zone. Oct 15, 2014

Mumbai/ Nagpur, Oct 15 (ANI): Estranged cousins MNS chief Raj Thackeray and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray cast their votes on Wednesday in Mumbai. Uddhav was accompanied by wife Rashmi and son Aditya. Talking to mediapersons, Uddhav said that he is sure the turnout will increase and people of Maharashtra will vote for the leaders they trust. MNS president Raj Thackeray also cast his vote at Shivaji Park which falls in the Mumbai South Central seat where his party's Aditya Shirodkar is pitted against Shiv Sena's Rahul Shewale and Congress's Eknath Gaikwad, seeking a third term. Mulayam Singh Yadav re-elected as SP chief at national executive meet

Lucknow, Oct 8 (ANI):Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav was re-elected as the party chief on the inaugural day of the Samajwadi Party's national executive meet. This is the ninth time that Mulayam has been chosen as the SP national president. His tenure as SP chief will last for three years. Meanwhile, Janata Dal (United) chief Sharad Yadav's presence at the meet triggered speculations of a possible tie up between the two parties for future polls.
