Indian pugilists train in Shimla's high altitude to adapt to rough climatic conditions

Shimla, Oct 08 (ANI): Forty eight Indian pugilists from Madhya Pradesh undertook training in an 18-day high altitude boxing camp in Shimla city to get acclimatized to low weather conditions and increase their stamina. The camp started on September 22 and will conclude on October 9.He also said that the camp will make them stronger and increase their level of play. Out of the total of 48 boxers, eight are international level players and 15 are national champions. Mumbai, Oct 02 (ANI): Former Arsenal player and Swedish captain Freddie Ljungberg, who will be playing for Mumbai FC in Indian Super League (ISL), said that he wanted to inspire youngsters through his game. The attacking midfielder was a part of Arsenal's famed "Invincibles" who went unbeaten in winning the 2003-04 English title. Addressing mediapersons in Mumbai, Ljungberg said he wanted to train kids in football in a cricket-mad nation. He added that he was ready to help Indian players to enhance their soccer skills. New Delhi, Oct 01 (ANI): Politicos on Wednesday expressed profound grief over the train accident near Gorakhpur. At least 14 people have died and 45 have been left seriously injured, after the Krishak Express hit the Lucknow-Barauni Express near Gorakhpur late on Tuesday night. Union Railway Minister DV Sadananda Gowda announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of those who died in the tragedy, Rs 1 lakh each to those grievously injured and Rs 20,000 each to those who sustained less serious injuries. Union Railway Minister DV Sadananda Gowda, meanwhile, expressed profound grief over the loss of innocent lives in the accident and announced compensation for the victims. Gorakhpur train collision: Track cleared, operation to begin soon

New Delhi, Oct 1 (ANI): Speaking over the collision of Krishak Express and Barauni Express near Gorakhpur, Railway Board chairman Arunendra Kumar informed on Wednesday that the train track has been cleared and operations are to begin soon.
