Bangalore, July 19 (ANI): The Police Commissioner of Bangalore, Raghavendra Auradkar, on Saturday assured complete and speedy justice to scores of parents and other protesters enraged over the sexual assault on a six-year-old girl in her school premises. Public anger erupted after two staff members of the school raped the girl within the school premises. The crime took place on July 02 during school hours and the child, a student of first grade is receiving treatment in a hospital. Urging people to be patient, Auradkar said it is a condemnable offence and police officials are working on it. He also added that the accused will soon be behind bars. Jul 19, 2014

Bangalore /New Delhi, July 18 (ANI): Members of a student organisation and BJP on Friday protested against the rape of a six-year-old girl by two staff members in her school in Bangalore.The crime took place on July 02 in the school campus during class hours and the child is now receiving treatment in hospital. Members of student organisation Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) gathered outside the school and staged a protest, accusing the school authority of inaction. They said the government should step up their efforts and address the issue with utmost urgency. The girl was allegedly raped by a security guard and a gym teacher. Meanwhile, BJP leaders also protested outside the assembly against the ruling Congress government for its failure to take steps. Bangalore, July 17 (ANI): Agitated parents protested in Vibgyor High School in Bangalore as a 6 year old girl was sexually assaulted in the school. The parents said the school _tried to cover up the matter_ and did not inform them about the incident, which took place on July 2. The Chairman of the school, Rustom Kerawala, assured that safety measures will be improved in school to keep all the students safe. He added that the school authorities are co-operating in investigation and confirmed that the suspected accused have been taken in police custody. However, the parents said they are not satisfied by the statements the school is giving. Meanwhile, Bangalore DCP TD Pawar said that the matter was reported quite late but he assured that action will be taken against the culprits. Reportedly, the girl was taken to a hospital after she expressed discomfort at home, which was when it was revealed that she was raped.
