Goods train derails in Jharkhand

Latehar, Oct 26 (ANI): A goods train derailed in Jharkhand's Latehar district on Sunday after it collided with another train at the Barka Kana railway station. The last four compartments of the goods train were squashed due to the collision. This resulted in a lot of inconvenience for the commuters as several trains taking that route had to be delayed. Maoists in red corridor of Bokaro blow up railway track, disrupting train network

Bokaro, Ramgarh, Oct 21 (ANI): Maoists blew up a portion of a railway track in the red corridor of Bokaro district in Jharkhand disrupting the train services. As per the police, the rebels destroyed about 1.5 meter track due to which the passenger trains were held up at different points. Divisional railway manager, BK Singh, said the train service will resume soon after restoration work will be completed. Meanwhile, police also recovered a 15 kilogram can bomb hidden below an over-bridge on NH-2 at Chittarpur. In-charge of the Rajrappa Police Station Lileshwar Mahto said the police received information from the villagers and immediately took action about it. Fire engulfs coach of election special train near Allahabad

Allahabad, Oct 18 (ANI): A coach of an election special train returning from Maharashtra to Assam carrying election duty army and security officials caught fire near Allahabad. The bogie was separated from the engine and later the fire was put off. District Magistrate of Allahabad, VK Tiwari said that the fire was controlled by fire officials and ambulances are also called in to tackle the situation. He said that he has lost both son and daughter-in-law and demanded CBI enquiry and security for his family members. He also said that UP government will not take action in the case intentionally and also requested Prime Minsietr Narendra Modi to take stock of the situation and look into the case. Sankalp (38) and his wife Nandini Anand (34), who was based in Delhi jumped in front of a moving train and died on the spot while their daughter suffered serious injuries and has been admitted to a hospital.
