Bangalore, July 28 (ANI): Parents expressed concern over safety of their children as Bangalore_s Vibgyor High School reopened on Monday after it was shut due to an alleged sexual assault on a six-year-old girl that had prompted protests for several days. The girl of first grade was assaulted by the school_s skating instructor Mustafa alias Munna, who has been arrested and was working in the school since 2011. On Monday, parents of many children watched their children entering the school premises as they were still concerned about the safety of their children. A parent, Raman Kaushik, said he would wait and see how quickly school implements safety measures. Bangalore, July 25 (ANI): India_s third-biggest IT services exporter, Wipro Limited posted fiscal first-quarter profit up 29.6 percent and forecast a surge in revenue on the back of stronger spending on outsourcing by overseas clients. IT services revenue in Wipro_s fiscal first quarter that ended on June 30 rose 1.2 percent from the previous quarter to $1.7 billion, as it added 35 new clients. Consolidated net profit for the quarter grew 29.6 percent from a year earlier to 21.03 billion rupees, slightly below consensus estimates of 21.24 billion rupees. Bangalore south Block Education Officer, Ramesh, announced the schedule for the commencement of classes. The school authorities reaffirmed strict measures for students_ safety after the sexual assault on the campus. The child, a student of first grade at the school, is now under treatment in a hospital. Around 260 parents attended the meeting that was held in the school premises. A parent, Chandrima Dutta, said that the authorities gave a positive response to the agendas put forward by the parents. Bangalore rape case: Police arrests chairman of Vibgyor School

Bangalore, July 23 (ANI): Bangalore Police arrested the chairman of the privately-run Vibgyor School where a minor girl was sexually assaulted. According to reports, the chairman, Rustom Kerawalla, of Vibgyor School was arrested after it was found that there was delay on his part in reporting the crime to the police. It is also alleged that he concealed information related to the case from the police. It is also alleged that the Kerawalla tried to destroy evidence relating to the incident. He has been charged under section 201 of the Indian Penal Code, section 23 of the Juvenile Justice Act and section 21 Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. Jul 23, 2014
