New Delhi, Nov 13 (ANI): Communications and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad met Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of Flipkart Sachin Bansal on Thursday in a bid to reinvigorate the postal department by linking it with booming e-commerce. Talking to the media after the meeting, Prasad said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Digital India' has struck a chord with the technology giants. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the ways in which India Post can be utilised by e-commerce players to deliver goods across the country. Prasad praised Bansal and said the Modi government favours e-commerce in India in a big way. PM Modi launches Jeevan Praman-Digital Life certificate for pensioners

New Delhi, Nov 10 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched the Jeevan Praman-Digital Life Certificate for pensioners in a move that could eventually benefit over a crore pensioners. Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was also present at the event. Prasad said that digital certification will do away with the requirement of a pensioner having to submit a physical Life Certificate in November each year, in order to ensure continuity of pension being credited into his account.
