Brendan Cox, the husband of murdered MP Jo Cox, has said he feels pity for her killer Thomas Mair. The Labour MP was stabbed and shot in her Batley and Spen constituency on 16 June, one week ahead of the EU referendum. Exclusive footage received by IBTimesUK shows security forces in Bamenda, Cameroon, firing water cannons at a student dorm to try to force them to lectures. The Cameroon Teachers Trade Union (Cattu) declared a sit-in strike on 22 November for teachers and students in the Northwest and Southwest, the two English-speaking regions of Cameroon. Independence calls in the regions have been intensifying since October 2016, when a group of English speaking lawyers took to the streets to protest against the use of French in courts and the lack of English versions of some legal acts and codes.
