Digvijay Singh ends week-long hunger strike in Guna

Madhya Pradesh, July 13 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh broke his fast on Sunday in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh. Singh had staged a seven-day hunger strike while protesting against the state government for not providing relief to natural-calamity hit farmers. Rain brings relief from sultry weather for Delhiites

New Delhi, July 13 (ANI): Bringing the temperature several notches down, rains brought respite for Delhiites from the sultry weather conditions on Sunday. Delhi residents were braving humidity and hot weather conditions with temperatures rising to several degrees above normal. The MeT Department had earlier predicted that Delhi might get rains from 15th July. Earlier on Friday, the mercury had touched 42 degrees celsius, seven notches above normal, making the conditions qualify as a 'severe heat wave'.
