New Delhi/Mumbai, Dec 18 (ANI): India on Thursday called Pakistan court's decision to grant 26/11 Mumbai terror attack accussed Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi bail 'incorrect'. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said that the decision taken by the Pakistan court is not right. Mumbai Terror Attack Public Prosecutor Ujjawal Nikam appealed the Pakistan prosecution agency to put a stay on the decision of bail and said that Pakistan is being double faced with their distinction of Taliban and the terrorists involved in 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. Social Activists await laws to ensure women safety two years post Delhi gang rape case

Lucknow/ Chennai, Dec 16 (ANI): India on Tuesday observed the second anniversary of brutal gang rape of 23-year-old trainee physiotherapist in a moving bus in New Delhi, a case that led to nationwide protests and forced authorities to tighten laws on sex crimes. Social Activist Sudha Ramalingam said all the steps taken so far have failed to make women feel safer. Faced with criticism over apathy and insensitivity to crimes against women, Delhi's 80,000-strong police force has also attempted a revamp of sorts. Meanwhile, Social Worker Aparna Yadav urged the politicians to aware the masses, especially women, of the Criminal Laws Amendment Act. Two years after Nirbhaya case women feel country has still not learnt a lesson

Shimla/ Chandigarh, Dec 14 (ANI): Almost two years after the gruesome rape of a 23 year old woman in the capital led to amendment of the laws for prosecution of rapists, women in other parts of the country say they don't feel that things have changed for the better. A resident of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, Phalma Chauhan, said that she felt that since the Nirbhaya incident things had only gotten worse. However, Deputy General of Police, Himachal Pradesh, Sanjay Kumar did not seem to be in agreement with the girls. Since the Nirbhaya case, a number of shocking incidents have come to light, most recently the Uber rape case. A resident of Chandigarh said that for any effective steps to be taken in this direction, the political parties must stop indulging in mud-slinging. Dec 14, 2014
