Union Budget 2015-16: Corporate Tax reduced from 30% to 25% for 4 years, says FM

New Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the General Budget for 2015-16 in Lok Sabha on Saturday. Aiming to up employment generation, Jaitley proposed the reduction of basic rate of corporate tax to 25% from current 30% over the next four years, accompanied by fewer exemptions. He further proposed to enact a comprehensive new law on black money to bring back black money stashed abroad. The budget estimates of expenditure announced by the government was 77 lakh crore, of which Non Plan was 13.12 lakh crores, and Plan was 4.65 lakh crores. PAN number quoting was made compulsory in the Union Budget for transactions for more than one lakh. Feb 28, 2015

Congress reacts as Jaitley concludes General Budget for 2015-16

New Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): Political leaders reacted as Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley concluded the General Budget for 2015-16 in the Lok Sabha on Saturday. Kamal Nath said that the budget only gives relaxation to corporate and rich administrations. Ashwani Kumar, Mallikarjun Kharge and PC Chacko said that there was nothing new in the Union Budget worth praising. Union Budget: Jaitley proposes to create national agriculture market to increase farmers' income

New Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who is presenting the Union Budget for fiscal 2015-16 in the Lok Sabha, proposed to create a national agriculture market to increase farmers' income. Jaitley said that an ambitious soil health card has been introduced to improve soil fertility. He also proposed to allocate Rs. 25,000 crore in 2015 to rural development fund. New Delhi, Feb 27 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 473.47 points up to stand at 29,220.12. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 160.75 points up to stand at 8,844.60. UNITECH and HCC were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 16.53% and 9.19% along with SINTEX and GMRINFRA with an increase of 9.19% and 8.89% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include RASOYPR and HATHWAY with a decrease of 4.26% and 3.68% along with PMCFIN and NIIT TECHNOLOGIES LTD with a decrease of 2.86% and 2.53% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 417.21 points at 19,769.71 while the banking sector is up 581.77 points at 21,858.46 and the reality sector is up at 74.97 points at 1,838.53. Corporate Espionage Case: Delhi court sends two more accused to custodial interrogation

New Delhi, Feb 27 (ANI): A Delhi court sent two more people, arrested on suspicion of running a scam to steal documents from petroleum ministry to sell to energy consultants and private companies, to custodial interrogation. The two accused, identified as Jitender Nagpal and Vipan Kumar, were arrested by Delhi police on Wednesday for allegedly leaking confidential documents. Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said that they were trying to gather as much evidence on the basis of information provided by the two accused. Feb 27, 2015
