Amit Shah accuses UDF and LDF in Kerala of vote bank politics

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept 02 (ANI): BJP president Amit Shah, who visited Kerala in order to gain foothold in the state, blamed the dominant coalition fronts for pursuing vote bank politics, and promoting communalism. Kerala is one of the states where BJP is yet to display a strong electoral performance, and politics in the state is dominated by two political factions - United Democratic Front (UDF) led by Congress party and Left Democratic Front (LDF) led by Communist Party of India (Marxist). Shah was addressing special convention of party functionaries in Thiruvananthapuram city during his maiden visit to the state. He further elaborated on the point by saying that Kerala government had sought the release of Abdul Nazer Mahdani, who was detained in connection with the 2008 serial bomb blasts in Bangalore. Karnataka CM unhappy with change in Governor

Bangalore, Aug 01 (ANI): Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, said that he was unhappy with the Central government having appointed a new governor for the state without consulting him. Former speaker of Gujarat assembly, Vajubhai Vala, will take oath as the new Governor of Karnataka on Monday. Siddaramaiah added he would have welcomed any person, had he been consulted by the Narendra Modi-led government. Protesters seek dismissal of Railway Minister post rape allegation on son
