Allahabad, Oct 02 (ANI): Senior BJP Leader, Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday said that the rethinking on the ordinance on convicted lawmakers stemmed from the pressure exerted by the main opposition, BJP and the people of the country. Congress core committee has reportedly decided to withdraw the controversial ordinance to save the convicted legislators, MPs and ministers Wednesday noon after ending the core-committee meet. Seven prisoners escape from Khandwa jail in MP, one nabbed

Khandwa/Bhopal, Oct 1 (ANI): In a major embarrassment to the Madhya Pradesh police, seven prisoners escaped from state's Khandwa jail in the wee hours of Tuesday. According to reports, six of the men allegedly belong to the Students Islamic Movement of India or SIMI, which was banned in 2001 over its alleged terror links. However, one of the prisoners has been caught. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta promised to take an action against the erring officials and said that the authorities would probe as to why this incident happened. New Delhi, Sept 27 (ANI): The Joint Parliamentary Committee on Friday adopted its controversial draft report on the 2G spectrum allocation case which gave a clean chit to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram. Sixteen members voted in favour of the report and 11 against the report.
