Kangra, Feb 13 (ANI): Two medical students have been tested positive for swine flu in Himachal Pradesh. This comes after a woman was diagnosed with the deadly HINI virus earlier this week at Doctor Rajender Prasad Government Medical College (DRPGMC). The two people who have fallen prey to the disease are students at DRPGMC. They have been shifted to isolated wards for treatment. Medical Superintendent of DRPGMC, Dinesh Sood, said masks have been distributed among students and staff members as a precautionary measure. Swine flu has killed 191 people in the country in January alone, with the newly formed Telangana state being worst hit. People are being educated on preventive measures and have been instructed to wear masks, wash their hands frequently, besides sanitizing the environment. A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO)--West-Bengal Voluntary Health Organisation (WBVHO)--organised the meet, which was attended by people from all walks of life. During the meet, children participated in various events like frog race, biscuit eating competition, etc, while parents took part in musical chairs, passing the ball, etc. About 80 families from different parts of the state took part in this event. The NGO works for creating awareness among people about HIV to change the thinking of the society. Meanwhile, a participant Dhan Kumar Rai said that such events boost morale and bring happiness. Rathore visited a hospital in Jaipur to see arrangements and facilities available for swine flu patients. Rajasthan Home Minister tests positive for swine flu

Udaipur, Feb 03 (ANI): Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria tested positive for swine flu and is recuperating in his residence. On Sunday evening, Gulab Chand Kataria complained of cold, cough, bad throat, fever. The next day he was tested for the H1N1 virus and by evening it was known that the test report was positive. According to reports, ten more people succumbed to swine flu in Rajasthan counting the death toll to 49 this year.
