Bangalore, Sep 23 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed a gathering in Bangalore city of Karnataka. Modi thanked the voters of Karnataka for helping form a stable government. Modi then stressed upon the ‘Clean Campaign’ which has been initiated by the government to clean the entire nation and begged the countrymen to spare 100 hours in a year to spend in cleaning their surroundings. PM also said that his aim is to abolish all the unwanted laws which have been prevailing in the country since long and create obstruction in decision making. India collaborates with Sweden promoting environmentally sustainable transport

Bangalore, Sept 23 (ANI): India collaborates with Sweden on promoting environmentally sustainable transport (EST) which will lead to accomplish safe, reliable, affordable, efficient, people-centric and environment friendly transport system. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the workshop on "the way to sustainable transport: an Indo-Swedish perspective". Swedish Envoy to India Harald Sandberg and senior advisor to Sweden trade minister, Ambassador Jonas Hafstrom, were also present at the event in the country's IT hub of Bangalore. The aim of their visit is to identify areas within transport and urban planning with potential for further collaboration between the two countries. Calling for best practices and planning for transforming Indian cities and towns safe for all, Siddaramaiah said the workshop will foster economical, social and environmental developments. The visit by the transport delegation from Sweden is a reciprocal visit to strengthen the bilateral relation between Sweden and India and aims to integrate developing countries in the world economy and contribute in the eradication of poverty. India stands united over Kashmir, protest continue against Bilawal Bhuttos Kashmir remark

Bangalore/ Bhopal, Sep 22 (ANI): The statement of Pakistan People's Party Leader Bilawal Bhutto regarding Kashmir was strongly condemned across the country and sparked strong protests on Monday in various states of India. Members of the Indian Youth Congress in Bangalore city of Karnataka shouted anti-Bhutto slogans and burnt the banner bearing his picture. A member of Youth Congress, Pramod Shankar said that Kashmir would always remain an integral part of India. Besides, protests were also held in Bhopal city of Madhya Pradesh by members of Students’ Union. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members also protested against Bhutto. The protesters burnt his effigy and shouted ‘anti-Pakistan’ and ‘anti-Bhutto’ slogans. Bangalore: Several students fall ill after eating mid-day meal in govt School

Bangalore, Sep 19 (ANI): Several students of Urdu government primary school in DJ Halli area of Bangalore were admitted to a hospital on Friday after they consumed mid-day meal. The children complained of nausea and vomited soon after having the lunch.Talking to mediapersons, Karnataka Health Minister UT Khader said that there is no need to panic and students are being treated for food-poisoning.
