Patna, Oct 31 (ANI): While the strength of Naxals has gone down considerably in recent times, they have intensified their campaign and are spreading misinformation against the government and security forces. Anand Shankar, former DGP of Bihar, believes that the Naxals brainwash innocent farmers and force them to join their ranks. Shankar added that teenagers are forcibly recruited by them and villagers are terrified about raising their voice against them. UP: Girl set on fire after rape attempt by villager

Jalaun, Oct 25 (ANI): A teenage girl in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh died in hospital allegedly after being set on fire by a villager, who had attempted to rape her first. The incident took place at Nipniya village of Sirsa Kalan area in Jalaun district on Tuesday evening in the fields where she went to attend nature's call. Police, however, suspected the incident to be a case of suicide. The assistant superintendent of police in the region, Rakesh Shankar, said that the girl was believed to be in a relationship with the accused and committed suicide after being spotted with him by her brother.
