Karti Chidambaram refutes TNCC's allegation of making anti-party remarks

Chennai, Jan 27 (ANI): Congress leader and son of former union minister P Chidambaram, Karti Chidambaram, on Tuesday refuted the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee's (TNCC) charge that he had made remarks against the party and its high command, and said that whatever he had said was totally in sync with Congress principles. He was reacting to the showcause notice sent by TNCC President E V K S Elangovan asking him to explain why he should not be expelled from the party. The TNCC had issued a show-cause notice to Karti on Friday, asking why he should not be expelled for his anti-party remarks at a meeting with his supporters in Chennai where, he had reportedly praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his "political acumen". Minister of State in Ministry of Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju said that Chidambaram should not take advantage of elections in Jammu and Kashmir and make instigating statements regarding laws. New Delhi, Nov 11 (ANI): Former Law Minister Hans Raj Bhardwaj accused former Finance Minister P Chidambaram for "not doing enough to stop the 2G scam". He said that Manmohan Singh was one of the most honest leaders India had and that it was not him but Chidambaram who was at fault in the case.
