New Delhi, July 07 (ANI): 116 Indian workers who were till now caught up in the war torn Iraq arrived home on Monday, while many others are still being held captive by the suspected militants. Indian workers were greeted with garlands and were offered water and juices at the airport in New Delhi. Chief coordinator of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara management committee, international affairs, Puneet Singh Chadha, said adequate arrangements were being made to send the workers back to their hometowns. Navsari, July 06 (ANI): As many as 15 Indian workers, who were trapped in war torn Iraq, arrived in Navsari city of Gujarat on Sunday to join their relieved families. Earlier during the day, a group of 200 Indian workers stranded in Iraq arrived in New Delhi and 46 freed nurses, who were abducted by suspected Islamist militants in Iraq, also arrived home in Kochi on Saturday. A group of 78 workers belonging to Andhra Pradesh also reached India the same day. New Delhi, July 6 (ANI): A group of 200 Indian workers, who were stranded in war torn Iraq, arrived in New Delhi on Sunday. An Indian worker, Upendra Singh, said that the situation in Iraq has worsened as conflict is going between Shiite and Sunni. Another worker Mohammed Alam complained that the company they worked for did not provide them any help to return back to the country. Alam further added that India embassy was helpful and provided them ticket ensuring their safe exit. Earlier on Saturday, 46 freed nurses, who were abducted by suspected Islamist militants in Iraq, also arrived home in Kochi city of Kerala.
