New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Union Railway Budget Suresh Prabhu on Thursday presented the Rail Budget for fiscal year 2015-16. Prabhu said that the railways propose to move from preventive to predictive maintenance. Further elaborating, Prabhu said that safety of passengers is of utmost importance for which technology intervention is required. People across India demand improved facilities ahead of rail budget

The upcoming Railway Budget by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government is expected to restore the glory of railways as the sector is reeling under financial crunch. According to local reports, rail connectivity tops the expectation list, especially for remote regions of the northeast, and also the electrification of existing railway tracks. Last week, Modi flagged off the first express train in Arunachal Pradesh, which now connects its capital Itanagar with New Delhi.
