Bangalore/ Chennai/ New Delhi, Oct 22 (ANI): Child rights and women rights activists condemned the alleged rape of a three-year-old school girl in Bangalore on Wednesday and said perpetrator must be brought to books. They also said school authorities should be made accountable for failing to implement guidelines to prevent such incidents. Chairperson of National Commission for Women (NCW), Lalitha Kumaramangalam, said they would initiate suo moto cognizance of the case. Meanwhile, Chairperson of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Kushal Singh, said such an incident is shameful for the society. Another minor girl raped in Bangalore school; parents, activists protest

Bangalore, Oct 22 (ANI): A three-year-old girl student was allegedly raped inside a private school in Bangalore on Tuesday, police said. This is the third incident of a minor girl student being allegedly sexually assaulted on school campus in the city. According to the complaint, the girl was crying when her mother picked her from the school in Jalahalli and was not behaving normal and had symptoms of fever. A criminal case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012 and IPC section 376 (rape) on a complaint from the father of the child, police said. Bangalore, Oct 18 (ANI): AIADMK Chief and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalaithaa will be released from the Bangalore central jail this afternoon, after the Supreme Court granted her interim bail on medical grounds on Friday. Security has been tightened outside the Parappana Agrahara jail ahead of Jayalalithaa's release who was languishing in jail for the past 20 days after being held guilty in a disproportionate assets case. The police have also imposed restriction on the movement of people under section 144 in one kilometer radius around the Central Jail.
