Govt blames Opposition and vice versa for disrupting Parliament

New Delhi, Dec 17 (ANI): The Central government on Wednesday blamed the Opposition for disrupting the Parliamentary proceedings continuously by raising baseless demands. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the government is not able to digest rapid development which BJP is moving towards. CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury said that running the house is the prerogative of the ruling party and it should take care that house runs. Sydney, Dec 15 (ANI): Hostages have been held inside a central Sydney cafe in Australia on Monday where a black flag with white Arabic writing was seen in the window, raising fears of an attack linked to Islamic militants. Patrons were seen inside a cafe standing with their hands pressed against the windows. A black and white flag similar to those used by Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria was also visible. Part of Martin Place, home to the Reserve Bank of Australia, commercial banks and close to the New South Wales (NSW) state parliament, has been cordoned off by the armed Australian police. Trains and buses have come to a halt and roads have been blocked in the area. Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott called an emergency meeting of the cabinet's national security committee. Sonipat, Dec 13 (ANI): Family members of security personnel who died in the 2001 parliament attack said on Saturday that they were proud of the sacrifice made by him for the country. India is observing the 13th anniversary of the deadly parliament attack, in which 14 people, including five militants, six personnel of Delhi police, and three government staff, died, causing increased tensions between India and Pakistan. Garima Yadav, daughter of JP Yadav, a security personnel who was among those killed in the attack, said her father and others had laid down their lives for the country. Meanwhile, wife of Yadav, Prem Yadav, said India sent a strong message by punishing the attackers. New Delhi said the attackers, who detonated explosives and hurled grenades, belonged to Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba militant groups fighting its rule in Indian Kashmir and had intended to assassinate top political figures.
