Former TMC leader Asif Khan hospitalized after his arrest in alleged cheating case

Kolkata, Nov 07 (ANI): Former Trinamool Congress leader Asif Khan was admitted to a state run hospital in Kolkata after he was arrested for his alleged involvement in a cheating case. Khan complained of chest pain and other health related problems following which he was admitted to NRS hospital. His lawyer said that the case was falsely forged on him and is a part of political vengeance. Khan, who had lashed out at a section of the party leadership and accused them of being involved in the Saradha chit fund scam, was arrested from his residence at Tiljala in the eastern part of the city in connection with a cheating case in a land deal in the Rajarhat-New Town area. He was to be produced before the court on Friday but the same can take place only after he is released from the hospital. Nov 7, 2014
