Bangalore rape case: Social Activists demand amendment in laws for safety of children in school

New Delhi/Jaipur, Oct 31 (ANI): Social Activists on Friday demanded demand amendment in laws for safety of children in school after a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a Hindi teacher on the campus of her private school in Bangalore. Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Barkha Shukla said that there needs to be law of on the spot punishment in such cases. AIDWA General Secretary Jagmati Sangwan said that holistic gender sensitization of schools should take place. Six- year old allegedly raped twice by school teacher in Bangalore, accused detained

Bangalore, Oct 31 (ANI): In another such case of crime against children, a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a Hindi teacher on the campus of her private school in Bangalore. The police have detained a 40-year-old suspect who is the victim's teacher in connection with the case. He added that there was only one CCTV camera on the campus and a complaint has also been filed against the school for not complying with safety guidelines issued by police. However, Block Education Officer SM Ramesh said that said that the school followed the guidelines and is a state recognized institution. Reportedly, the victim had complained to her mother after the incident took place on Tuesday and again on Wednesday after which the mother approached the police seeking further help.
