Ramdev vows to make nation corruption free

Sri Ganganagar, April 14 (ANI): Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who has been spearheading a national campaign against black money, said would make the country corruption free by his proposed policies. Addressing media persons on Monday in Sri Ganga Nagar city of Rajasthan, Ramdev said that Indians need to stand united against graft that has damaged the roots of this country. Beating drums for Narendra Modi, Ramdev advocated for a corruption free India which could be achieved through legal, technological and social measures. Talking of the legal measures, Ramdev spoke of the measures that he has proposed in the consent letter that he earlier procured from senior leaders of main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a testimonial to their support for his anti corruption movement. He also proposed technological measures like e-governance that would tighten the grip on corruption and check graft through social remedies such as education and knowledge. Apr 14, 2014

Vadodara, April 14 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party's Mahila Morcha on Monday hit out at Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Vadodara Madhusudan Mistry for his alleged "loose and vulgar statements" against BJP's senior leader Sushma Swaraj. Gujarat BJP Mahila Morcha President Jyotiben Pandya slammed Mistry for using derogatory terms for a woman. Earlier, BJP had complained to the Election Commission, seeking action against Madhusudan Mistry for his statements against Sushma Swaraj. In its complaint, the BJP alleged that Mistry's statement is "vulgar and intended to tarnish the image of a woman who herself is an elderly person". The party has accused Mistry of making statements contravening provisions of the Model Code of Conduct, the Representation of People's Act (RPS) and the Indian Penal Code. New Delhi, April 11 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Friday has turned down a plea questioning the clean chit given to the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in connection with the 2002 Gujarat riots. A bench comprising of Justices HL Dattu and SA Bobde also declined the plea for reconstituting the Special Investigation Team (SIT) involving retired judges of the apex court on the ground that this option was not good to raise it at this moment. It also turned down the inclusion of a person belonging from the minority community into the SIT.
