CPI on A Raja and Sajjan Kumar seeking stay on trials citing Gauhati HC order on CBI

New Delhi, Nov 09 (ANI): Citing Gauhati HC order on CBI, former Telecom Minister A Raja has pushed for a stay on the proceedings of the 2G scam case in a Delhi court. Congress leader Sajjan Kumar too wants the court to declare as "illegal" the probe and charge sheets filed by the CBI in a 1984 anti Sikh riots case. Reacting over this, CPI leader D Raja said that if CBI was not there another investigative agency would have done the probe so there was no question of dismissing the cases against them. Meanwhile, the Central Government will move Supreme Court on Saturday against the Gauhati High Court order holding as unconstitutional the setting up of Central Bureau Investigation (CBI).
