Calendar launched to promote peace between India, Pakistan

New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): A peace calendar was launched in New Delhi in order to improve frosty and tense relations between India and Pakistan. The calendar was launched by Aaghaz-e-Dosti (start of friendship), which is an initiative by India-based social outfit Mission Bhartiyam and Pakistan-based non-profit organization The Catalyst -TC, with an aim to build friendly relations between nuclear-armed neighbours. The launch was organised in collaboration with Indian Council for Talent Search and Competitions from India and SAMAAJ (Social Awareness Media and Art Junction) and SAWAN (South Asian Writers and Artists Network) from Pakistan. The 'Calendar for Peace and Love' features paintings of children from both the counties selected through a competition. This is the third edition of the calendar. Founder of Mission Bhartiyam, Ravi Nitesh, said through this calendar they are trying to connect the people of the two countries for friendship and brotherhood. Dec 29, 2014

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella discusses about 'Digital India' concept with PM Modi

New Delhi, Dec 27 (ANI): Microsoft Corp CEO, Satya Nadella who is on a vacation in India, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and discussed about 'Digital India' concept. Nadella also met India's Communications and Information Technology (IT) Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, and discussed about 'Digital India'. Nadella said that through new technology and concepts every Indian could be empowered. Nadella, a 46-year old born in India who led the creation of Microsoft's Internet-based, or "cloud" computing services, is only Microsoft's third CEO in 39 years, taking over from Steve Ballmer, who inherited the job from Gates in 2000. It Happens : Hundreds of students take part in Yogathon

Chennai, Dec 26 (ANI): Hundreds of students took part in a "Yogathon" to create awareness about the ancient practice at an event in Chennai on Monday. Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's 'Art of Living Foundation' organized the event. Organizers said the event was being organized across the country, especially in schools and colleges, to create awareness among the people about the benefits of Yoga.
