Canadian University signs bilateral agreement in Shimla for academic and cultural exchange

Shimla, Nov 03 (ANI): The University of Himachal Pradesh initiated exchange programme with Canada with an aim to enhance academic, social and cultural co operation. Fraser Valley University Canada signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Himachal Pradesh in Shimla on Saturday (November 02). Vice Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University ADN Bajpai said the exchange programme would institutionalise the relationships between both the countries. Hamid Ansari meets Cuban President on his visit to Havana

Havana, Oct 31 (ANI): Vice-President Hamid Ansari met Cuban President Raul Castro during his two-day state visit to the country, during which the two countries inked four agreements to strengthen bilateral ties. Ansari arrived in Cuba on October 29 to hold talks with the political leadership on bilateral and multilateral issues. The two countries signed an agreement on cooperation in broadcasting between India’s government run Prasar Bharti and Cuban Radio and Television Institute. Ansari, who held delegation level talks with Cuban leaders, also visited the Biotechnology Centre in Cuba and appreciated the "pioneering work" done by it and talked about the possibilities for collaboration between the two countries in the field.

Chinese premier holds talks with PM Manmohan Singh

Beijing, Oct 23 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh attended a welcome ceremony hosted by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday. Singh arrived at Beijing on Tuesday for the two-day state visit to China. Keqiang held talks with Singh in the Great Hall of the People on Wednesday morning. During the talks, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and other issues of common interest. This is the second time this year that the heads of government of the two countries have met following Li's visit to India in May.
