BJP demands removal of tainted ministers from Karnataka cabinet

Bangalore, Nov 21 (ANI): The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) protested in Bangalore city, the IT hub of Karnataka, against the induction of four tainted ministers in the state cabinet. The protesters shouted slogans against the chief minister of the state, Siddaramaiah and demanded the immediate dismissal of tainted ministers. The protesters walked up to the Raj Bhawan (Governor's office) to meet the state Governor Vajubhai Vala and submit a memorandum to press their demand for the removal of the tainted ministers. However, the police put up barricades and did not let them in, following which, they sat down at the site and continued shouting slogans before finally leaving. New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): Northeast Activist Binalakshmi Nepram on Thursday said that attacks on northeast people are politically motivated. She said that the people from northeast are targeted and are labeled loyal to China. Nepram alleged that more than 700 cases of abuse with northeast people are reported in this year alone and that they are tired of pressurizing the central authority for help and assistance. She said that it is saddening and shocking for the entire community. TISS scholar from Manipur found dead at his home in South Delhi

New Delhi/Bangalore, Nov 20 (ANI): A 33-year-old Manipuri scholar was found murdered at his home in Kotla area of South Delhi on Thursday morning. The deceased Zingran Kengoo was a PhD scholar from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). The body of the deceased was discovered by his house owner's son who found him lying in a pool of blood. According to the reports, Kengoo was found with a slit throat and his head almost beheaded. A knife was also recovered from the room where the incident took place. The body has been sent to the hospital for postmortem. Meanwhile, in Bangalore a 25-year-old Manipuri youth was allegedly assaulted by three people. The Manipuri youth who was badly injured has been hospitalized. Investigations are underway in both the cases. Nov 20, 2014
